PEACOCK has lined up Eric Heisserer to co-run its upcoming live-action ‘Dungeon Crawler Carl’ TV series.
Heisserer — known for creating Netflix fantasy series ‘Shadow and Bone’ — will serve as co-showrunner alongside Chris Yost, who was previously announced as writer on the project.
The show is based on Matt Dinniman’s best-selling LitRPG novel series ‘Dungeon Crawler Carl’, which has built a dedicated fanbase thanks to its game-meets-fantasy premise.
Both Yost and Heisserer are set to executive produce the series as well, putting them firmly in charge of steering the adaptation from page to screen.
Beyond the new showrunner addition and the confirmation of Peacock as the home for the project, further details about the series — including casting, release timing and episode count — haven’t been outlined here.
Does Eric Heisserer joining make you more confident about a ‘Dungeon Crawler Carl’ adaptation?
