THE Prince and Princess of Wales are said to be keeping things brutally simple as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle return to the UK: ignore it and get on with the job.

A friend of Prince William and Kate Middleton told the Daily Mail that Harry and Meghan’s location “makes no difference” — adding that William and Catherine will continue their public service and “intend to lead by example.”

The Sussexes moved back to England last week with their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, for an “extended period,” six years after quitting royal duties and moving to California. The family reportedly travelled by private flight from California and landed at Birmingham Airport around lunchtime on Aug. 26.

Has reported that Harry, 41, and Meghan, 45, returned to be closer to King Charles III as he battles cancer, and to help their children build relationships with family. Charles, 77, is said to have learned of the decision only days before the news became public.

The couple are expected to continue their business ventures while living in a “non-royal residence,” and are reportedly house-hunting — potentially in the Cotswolds — around two hours from William and Kate’s home in Windsor. Their children are also confirmed to be enrolled at a prep school costing $35,000 a year.

William and Kate haven’t commented publicly on the move. Royal reporter Tom Sykes has said it could create risks for the monarchy and be a “slap in the face” for William amid the brothers’ long-running feud. Another commentator, Kinsey Schofield, claimed William’s circle believes “money and inheritance” may factor into the Sussexes’ decision, and suggested Harry may be trying to “get a foot back in the door” before William becomes king.

The Waleses and Sussexes have been estranged since Harry’s high-profile interviews, the couple’s Netflix appearances and his 2023 memoir, “Spare.” Meghan also accused members of the royal family of racism during the couple’s 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.
