JULIA Majchrzak is officially a British citizen — and Love Island fans have immediately turned it into a fresh round of “are they over?” speculation about her and Lorenzo Alessi.
The ITV2 winners, crowned just last month, have been dogged by break-up chatter since returning to the UK. Now Julia, 26, has posted her big news on Instagram and the comment section has done what it does best.
Sharing her milestone, Julia wrote: “The only time I’ll pledge allegiance to a man. I’m officially British! What a summer to remember.” She added that she was “born and raised Polish” and is now “proudly British too”, calling herself “a citizen of two countries I love” and “one very proud girl.”
Followers then pointed out that Lorenzo hadn’t ‘liked’ the post, with one commenter writing: “Not even a like from Lorenzo.” Another urged Julia to “get rid of that baggage called lorenzo”.
Fuel for the gossip mill didn’t stop there. Fans have also noticed Lorenzo following more models on social media, including Delilah Saxena, who has 45,000 followers, and Emilie Nelson, a reality star from Netflix’s Calabasas Confidential.
The online scrutiny comes after earlier fan chatter about Lorenzo liking other women’s photos, including a snap posted by model Lene Voigt. The couple’s relationship was also questioned after what viewers described as an awkward appearance on This Morning, where Julia called Lorenzo out for not planning any dates since leaving the Majorca villa.
Do you think Lorenzo not liking Julia’s citizenship post means anything — or is it just fans overreading Instagram?
