PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle are heading back to the UK at the end of the month for what’s being described as “an extended period” — and they’re not coming alone.

Their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, are expected to be enrolled at a school in Britain, signalling this isn’t a flying visit. A source said the Palace was made aware of the move, adding that King Charles III was told on Sunday.

One insider claimed Charles is the reason they’re returning, and another source said the King “looks forward” to spending more time with the couple in a personal capacity. But the message is also said to be clear: Harry, 41, and Meghan, 45, will remain private individuals and “non-working members” of the royal family.

Charles — who announced a cancer diagnosis in February 2024 — is also said to be firm that there’s “no half-in, half-out option” when it comes to royal duties, keeping to the approach previously enforced under Queen Elizabeth II.

The Sun reported the Sussexes will move into a “non-royal residence” and continue with their business ventures.

The move marks a notable pivot from January 2020, when the couple announced they were stepping away as “senior” royals and relocated to Montecito, California — later followed by the pair’s Oprah Winfrey interview in 2021 and Harry’s 2023 memoir, Spare. Despite multiple UK trips by Harry in recent years, Meghan and the children have mostly stayed in the US.

Their last high-profile UK reunion with Charles came in July, when it was said there was “no contact” with Prince William and Kate Middleton.
