MEGHAN McCain has taken a flamethrower to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s planned return to the UK, calling them “D-list royals” and taking aim at what she sees as their attitude.
The former View host posted a string of tweets on Wednesday, writing: “One thing about Americans is we can see through bulls–t and we don’t like entitled grifters.” She added: “They could never hack it here and truly no one gives a s–t about D-list royals… Good luck to our friends in the UK, they’re your problem now.”
McCain, 41, has been publicly critical of the Sussexes before, including a swipe last year at Markle’s “boring” lifestyle rebrand. “This is, like, her ninth rebrand,” she said, adding that she’d reviewed Markle’s show and podcast and found them “horrible” and “so boring.”
The blasts land as Harry, 41, and Markle, 44, prepare to relocate back to Britain with their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5. The move is expected at the end of the month, with the family returning for “an extended period.”
The palace has been made aware of the plan, and King Charles III was informed on Sunday. One insider claimed Charles is “the reason” they’re moving back. Archie and Lilibet are already enrolled in school in Britain.
While Charles — who is currently battling cancer — is said to be looking forward to more personal time with the Sussexes, their status as private individuals and “non-working members” of the royal family won’t change. They’re expected to live in a “non-royal residence” and continue their business ventures, with Charles maintaining Queen Elizabeth II’s “no half-in, half-out” stance.
Representatives for Harry and Markle were contacted for comment but did not immediately respond.
Do you think Harry and Meghan’s extended UK return will calm things down — or crank up the drama?
