JENNIFER Lopez’s Italian getaway wardrobe has come with one very specific supporting act: an oversized raffia-style tote she’s been carrying on repeat.
On a recent family trip to Italy, Lopez leaned into romantic European holiday dressing, pairing silky mini dresses with headscarves and her signature oversized sunglasses. The finishing touch wasn’t a structured leather bag, but a woven tote that kept the whole look light, polished and properly summery.
Lopez’s own version was a woven Brunello Cucinelli bag — and, as you’d expect, it comes with a luxury price tag that runs into the thousands.
The look has also trickled down to cheaper alternatives, including a $48 woven straw bag set (down from $60) that mirrors the same oversized shape and double-strap style. It’s pitched as the kind of tote that can handle sightseeing, dinner and the beach without feeling out of place.
The budget set comes with an extra twist: a matching wide-brim sun hat that reads “Life Is Good.” The hat can be removed, leaving the bag to work on its own.
And Lopez isn’t the only one in on the woven-tote moment — the style’s been spotted on stars including Tracee Ellis Ross and Bethenny Frankel, cementing it as one of the season’s go-to warm-weather accessories.
Are you team woven tote for everything, or is it strictly a beach bag in your world?
