TEONA MITEVSKA is getting back in Petrunya’s orbit.

The North Macedonian director behind the satirical drama ‘God Exists, Her Name Is Petrunya’ is preparing a sequel, titled ‘Petra Doesn’t Want to Die (Anatomy of Masculinity)’.

The screenplay is being written by Mitevska and Elma Tataragić.

Mitevska’s original film, ‘God Exists, Her Name Is Petrunya’, premiered in competition at the Berlinale in 2019 and became known for its feminist bite and sharp humour.

Now, with the new project’s title pointing directly at masculinity, Mitevska appears set to return to the same provocative lane — this time with Petra front and centre.

No casting, production start date, or release plans were detailed in the available information.

If it’s half as sharp as the first one, I’m in.

love a sequel that sounds this confrontational.
