THEY’VE made it official: Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have married in a civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal on Aug. 11.

The couple confirmed the wedding with an Instagram post on the day, sharing that they’d tied the knot in Ronaldo’s home country.

It comes almost exactly a year after they announced their engagement in August 2025. When Rodríguez shared the news, she showed off her ring while placing her hand over the footballer’s. “Yes, I do,” she wrote at the time, translated from Spanish. “In this and all my lives.”

Ronaldo and Rodríguez first met in Madrid and began dating in 2016. Long before wedding bells, they’d already built a big family together: Ronaldo’s eldest son Cristiano Jr., 16, twins Eva Maria and Mateo, 8, and the couple’s daughters Alana, 7, and Bella, 3. The pair also announced the death of their baby boy Ángel in April 2022.

In the run-up to the wedding, Rodríguez, 32, has shared snippets of family time — including a holiday moment with Cristiano Jr. Jetskiing — captioning the Aug. 1 post: “Junior and his talent in everything he sets out to do.”

Ronaldo, 41, has previously spoken about stepping away from football in the coming years and what that could mean at home. In an interview with Piers Morgan last November, he said retirement would be tough, but added: “I have other passions. I’m going to have more time for me. I’m going to have more time for my family, to raise my kids.”

their family is massive — respect the logistics alone.
