THE Reytons are in a scrap for the UK’s Number One album spot — and FLO are right on their heels.

The Rotherham band are currently in the lead with ‘A Love Letter To A Broken Town’, as they chase what would be their second UK chart-topper.

FLO are sitting at Number Two with ‘Therapy At The Club’. If the London girl group manage to overtake The Reytons before the final chart is confirmed, it would be their first Number One album.

The Reytons already know what a last-minute chart battle feels like. Back in 2023, they landed their first Number 1 with their second album ‘What’s Rock And Roll?’ — a record they put out themselves.

Frontman Jonny Yerrell previously described the buzz when the midweek chart news landed, saying the band’s mood “just changed” when they saw they were on course for the top spot, calling the whole moment “surreal”.

He also made a point of what it meant to do it without a label, saying they were “proud” to have done it independently and that the band had started with “very little money, if anything”. Yerrell added that The Reytons’ aim was to feel like “a community” — and to show other people “that you can do it” too.

For FLO, the stakes are clear: their debut album ‘Access All Areas’ peaked at Number Three when it arrived in 2024, making this week a shot at their biggest chart moment yet.
