KAYE Adams will not return to her £155,000-a-year role on BBC Radio Scotland after multiple misconduct complaints against her were upheld following an internal investigation.

The 63-year-old presenter, who has been off air since October, had hosted Mornings With on the station.

Three complaints were reportedly upheld, including allegations that she used an offensive swear word towards a colleague more than a decade ago, threw a pen at a producer during a disagreement about an upcoming show, and harshly criticised an intern’s work.

Colleagues allegedly felt “humiliated and distressed”, with one reportedly not returning to work the following day. Other claims made during the investigation were not substantiated.

Adams has consistently denied any wrongdoing.

She has suggested that her “assertiveness” may have been misinterpreted as bullying.

Speaking previously, she said she felt “blindsided” by the allegations, adding: “I can’t even describe it, it just feels like layers of my skin have been torn off, to be honest. I certainly never saw this one coming.”

A source told The Times: “There is no way back for Kaye now. Her time at BBC Scotland is at an end.”

A BBC Scotland spokesperson declined to comment on the specifics of the case but confirmed the presenter will not return.

“With regard to the presentation line-up on Mornings With, Kaye Adams will not be returning to this role,” the spokesperson said.
“In the immediate future, Connie McLaughlin will continue to present Mornings With on Mondays to Wednesdays, with Stephen Jardine presenting on Thursdays and Fridays.”

Insiders have claimed concerns about Adams’ behaviour were raised during a routine meeting at BBC Scotland’s Pacific Quay headquarters in Glasgow last year, prompting the formal investigation. Adams has denied any issues during that meeting.

Despite the radio controversy, ITV previously confirmed that her role on Loose Women remains unchanged, and she has continued appearing on the daytime panel show.

Adams previously fronted Call Kaye between 2010 and 2015 before returning with The Kaye Adams Show and later Mornings With Kaye Adams.
