CELINE Dion is gearing up for a major stage return, but insiders warn her health could be at serious risk.
The 58-year-old singer, diagnosed with stiff person syndrome, is determined to perform multiple shows at Paris La Defense Arena this autumn.
This rare neurological disorder causes painful muscle spasms and rigidity, making such a demanding comeback a daunting challenge.
“Nobody can deny that Celine has made great progress these past couple of years,” a source told Radar Online, “but taking on this type of physical challenge is a step too far.”
Her medical advisors and close circle are uneasy about the strain of performing in front of 40,000 fans and the intense scrutiny that comes with it.
The star insists on the large venue despite warnings to ease back slowly.
The pressure to prove herself intensified after criticism over her 2024 Olympics performance, where insiders claimed her live singing was “corrected playback.”
This has fuelled her determination to show she can still deliver live.
“The consensus is that Celine should be easing back in, not jumping headfirst into the top level of performing,” the insider added.
Still, Dion is adamant about making her return a statement.
With such a high-stakes comeback, the question remains whether her body will keep up with her ambition or if this leap could set her back further.
