SARAH Ferguson has been spotted in public for the first time in over seven months, stepping out quietly at a luxury ski resort in Austria.
The former Duchess of York, 66, kept a low profile with her red hair hidden under a white baseball cap and dressed in navy blue, according to photos obtained by The Sun.
She was last seen in public at the funeral of Katharine, Duchess of Kent, in London’s Westminster Cathedral back in September 2025.
Why This Matters
Ferguson’s rare outing matters because it signals a cautious reemergence amid reputational fallout from the Epstein-linked scandal, highlighting how the controversy affects royal associates’ privacy, housing and mental health while fueling public scrutiny of the monarchy’s wider consequences.
Since then, Ferguson has stayed out of the spotlight amid the fallout from her ex-husband Prince Andrew’s arrest related to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
Andrew was charged in February with allegedly passing confidential trade documents to Epstein, a claim he denies.
The couple were forced to leave their Royal Lodge home after King Charles III stripped Andrew of his royal titles due to his Epstein connection.
Sources revealed Ferguson has been effectively homeless, moving between friends’ homes, including a brief stay with Priscilla Presley, though some pals have grown wary of the association with Epstein.
An insider said, “Everyone’s telling her that now’s not a good time.
“A lot of people actually really like her, but being associated with anyone connected to Epstein just isn’t wise right now.”
Ferguson reportedly did not stay with her youngest daughter, Princess Eugenie, to protect the royal siblings from scandal.
Last month it emerged she checked into the Paracelsus Recovery Clinic in Zurich, a high-end facility known for mental health and addiction treatment, costing over $17,500 a night.
Her rare public appearance in the peaceful Austrian Alps appears to be a deliberate move to keep out of the spotlight while the Epstein saga continues to unfold.
