EVA Longoria has revealed the biggest sacrifices she’s made since leaving the US in 2024, including missing her Texas family and craving authentic Mexican food.

The 51-year-old actress and director, who now splits her time between Mexico and Spain with husband José Bastón, told People she feels the American chapter of her life is firmly closed.

Longoria explained how life in Europe has forced her to slow down, contrasting Spain’s relaxed culture with the hectic pace she left behind in Los Angeles.

“They really enjoy life in Spain,” she said. “You’re never in a rush.”

She also praised Spain’s pedestrian-friendly cities, allowing her to walk everywhere near her home — a far cry from the US lifestyle.

Despite the change, Longoria’s family still spends time in Los Angeles, where she recently returned to shoot her second directorial feature, The Fifth Wheel.

Her son Santiago, now seven, has transitioned from homeschooling to attending school in LA, and Longoria revealed, “He’s loved it.”

The former Desperate Housewives star also highlighted the cultural difference around lunch breaks, noting how stressful quick working lunches can be in the US compared to Spain’s long, leisurely meals.

While she’s embraced her new life abroad, Longoria clearly holds a soft spot for her Texan roots and the tastes she left behind, especially good Mexican food, which she says is hard to find in Europe.
