LINDSEY Buckingham has confirmed the long-running frostiness between him and Stevie Nicks has thawed — properly.

Speaking at Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood event, Buckingham said: “Stevie and I are talking all the time now,” adding that the years-long feud is over.

And he’s already teasing what comes next. Buckingham, 76, said “next year should be a pretty interesting year” thanks to a Fleetwood Mac documentary linked to the 50th anniversary of the band’s 1977 blockbuster, Rumours. “Because I think quite a few things will reveal themselves,” he added.

When asked about a possible tour, Buckingham sidestepped it — but stressed what matters most is that the surviving members can be in the same room again. He said he, Nicks (78), Mick Fleetwood and John McVie have reconciled, and that healing has happened through the process of making the documentary.

Buckingham also admitted things weren’t left in a good place in 2019 “for all the wrong reasons,” but insisted: “No one was happy about it, and all of that has been healed and worked out.”

Their history, of course, is famously messy: Buckingham and Nicks dated from 1972 to 1978 and split while recording Rumours. Nicks previously said she resented lyrics in “Go Your Own Way” that suggested she was “packing up, shacking up” with other men — calling it an “angry thing” Buckingham wrote, and admitting the lines made her want to “go over and kill him” onstage.

Both stayed with Fleetwood Mac until Buckingham was fired after a behind-the-scenes altercation in 2018. The pair have shown signs of a thaw recently, including remastering and re-releasing their only album as a duo, Buckingham Nicks, last year. Nicks also said in 2024 that the only time she’d spoken to him in years was for “about three minutes” at Christine McVie’s celebration of life after McVie died in 2022, adding she’d given him “more than 300 million chances.”
