CHRISTOPHER Nolan’s epic “The Odyssey” has officially crossed the $1 billion line at the global box office, according to a new report.
The film has taken $1.008 billion worldwide after three weeks in release. The total breaks down as $429.65 million domestically and $578.8 million from international markets.
Matt Damon leads the cast as the Greek king Odysseus.
It’s also a milestone moment for Nolan: this is his first movie since 2012’s “The Dark Knight Rises” to reach the coveted billion-dollar box office club.
The pace of the earnings is being highlighted too, with the figures described as the speed of the climb to $1 billion “mind-boggling.”

Funny, thoughtful or brutally honest — someone has to go first.
