NATALIE Portman has revealed she is expecting her third child with partner Tanguy Destable, two years after her divorce from Benjamin Millepied.
The 44-year-old actress, daughter of a fertility doctor, shared the news in a Harper’s Bazaar interview, expressing deep gratitude for the pregnancy.
“Tanguy and I are very excited,” he said. I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle.”
She acknowledged the challenges many face with fertility, saying, “I have so many people I love who’ve had such a hard time with it that I want to be respectful around that as well.”
Portman already has two children, Aleph, 14, and Amalia, 9, from her previous marriage to choreographer Millepied.
Reflecting on this pregnancy, she noted a different kind of appreciation: “There is a gratitude that when you’re young, you don’t necessarily grasp.”
She also described feeling physically well and more energetic than expected, keeping active with swimming and gyrotonics while spending time with her children.
Portman’s split from Millepied came after 11 years of marriage, with rumours of an affair circulating prior to their 2024 divorce.
A source told People magazine that despite a tough period, Portman has found strength and joy in her family, friends, and work.
The couple originally met on the set of Black Swan in 2009, where Portman starred and Millepied choreographed.
This new chapter for Portman marks a hopeful and happy time as she prepares to welcome her third child.
