EDDIE Murphy is holding back on sharing parenting tips with his son Eric and daughter-in-law Jasmin Lawrence after they welcomed their baby girl, Ari Skye.

The 65-year-old actor, father to 10 children, admits he’s nervous about stepping in with advice, convinced the new parents won’t listen to a word he says.

“Eddie’s nervous about stepping in with advice, even after raising so many kids,” a source told Radar Online.

“He thinks they’ll ignore anything he says and just watch what he does.”

Eddie himself put it plainly: “Oh, you don’t give advice (on parenting) like that. Your kids don’t go by your advice.

“Your kids go by the example you set. They watch you.”

He added, “The stuff you be saying, they don’t even pay that s— no mind. They watch and see what you do. So, I don’t give a lot of advice.”

Eric Murphy, 36, and Jasmin Lawrence, 30, announced their pregnancy in February with heartfelt Instagram photos and later celebrated with a baby shower.

Jasmin revealed their daughter’s name in an Instagram video, saying, “Ari Skye. Mommy loves you so much.

“This day is all for you.”

This little one marks the first grandchild for both Eddie and fellow actor Martin Lawrence, Jasmin’s father.

Despite his vast experience as a dad, Eddie is opting to support the new parents from the sidelines, trusting they’ll learn from his example rather than his words.

With kids spanning their twenties and thirties, Eddie’s family tree is well established, but this new chapter brings fresh challenges and quiet pride.
