ERIC Dane’s loved ones are speaking out to keep the record clear as tributes continue following the actor’s death.

According to reports, Dane’s family says Rebecca Gayheart and the couple’s two daughters were the ones by his side during the final chapter of his life, and they want that part of his story remembered accurately.

Sources close to the family say they understand that former partners and friends are grieving and do not want to dismiss anyone’s emotions.

At the same time, the family reportedly feels a strong responsibility to make sure the facts about Dane’s final days are not blurred by conflicting narratives, according to TMZ.

Dane’s exes, Janell Shirtcliff and Priya Jain, have both publicly shared their sadness over his passing. Priya Jain also reportedly donated $10,000 to a GoFundMe created for Dane’s daughters and expressed support for his family.

A public memorial for Eric Dane is now being organised by the family, with more details expected to be announced later.
