Davies later shared an update on Instagram, explaining that after speaking with her doctor and taking antibiotics, continuing to perform while recovering was slowing her progress.
She said she has been dealing with a lingering illness for around a month and felt it was best to take more time off rather than keep pushing through.
Davies also reflected on her demanding run of projects, saying her body was ‘fighting for its life’ after moving from Gatsby to Strictly and then into Legally Blonde.
