DOLLY Parton is reportedly considering love — and even marriage — again after the death of her husband, Carl Dean, in March 2025.
RadarOnline says the country superstar, now 80, has softened her earlier stance that she would never remarry.
According to the outlet, Parton has been privately seeing someone for several months. The report says she has been healing from her loss and no longer feels closed off to the idea of another serious relationship.
Parton spoke openly after Dean’s death, saying she was coping better than expected while still deeply missing him. She also shared that he had dealt with significant health problems before his death at 82, and said she felt peace knowing he was no longer suffering.
The report also notes Parton has been recovering from her own health issues. Last year, she canceled appearances at Dollywood and in Las Vegas while dealing with kidney stones and an infection, and later said doctors wanted her to undergo additional procedures.
Now, RadarOnline’s source claims Parton is feeling much more like herself again. The singer has said moving forward is a slow process, but she remains focused on faith, creativity and whatever comes next.
Parton and Dean’s long marriage began after they met at a Nashville laundromat when she was 18, and they wed in 1966. She often described their relationship as deeply private, with Dean famously staying out of the spotlight while supporting her career from behind the scenes.
