Howard Stern Brands Ex-Assistant’s $2.5M Lawsuit a ‘Sham’
Key Points
HOWARD Stern has hit back hard at his former executive assistant’s $2.5 million lawsuit, calling it a “transparent sham” and a “shakedown.”
The SiriusXM host’s legal team filed papers this week seeking to dismiss the claim, insisting the case is nothing more than a bid for hush money.
Leslie Kuhn, who worked for Stern from 2022 until her termination earlier this year, alleges a hostile work environment and disputes the enforceability of two nondisclosure agreements she supposedly never signed.
Stern’s camp counters with emails they say prove Kuhn knowingly agreed to the NDAs, and accuse her of publicising the dispute solely to pressure them into a payout, reports The New York Post’s Page Six.
“The reason Kuhn filed this lawsuit was to pressure the Stern Parties into making an outlandish payment to make her go away,” the filing reads.
Stern’s lawyer, Ilene Farkas, told Page Six, “He is not going to play this out in public.”
Kuhn’s lawyer, John J.Leonard, fired back, saying they “vigourously oppose” the dismissal and that the surprise NDA revelations will only expand litigation.
The case has reignited scrutiny on Stern’s workplace practices, following past reports from ex-staffers describing financial struggles despite the host’s huge earnings.
As the legal battle unfolds, the exact truth behind these explosive claims remains locked in the courtroom.
