PATRICK Muldoon, famed for his roles in Melrose Place and Days of Our Lives, has died aged 57 after suffering a heart attack.

The actor was found unconscious on the bathroom floor of his Beverly Hills home by his girlfriend, who grew concerned after he took too long in the shower, TMZ reports.

Paramedics rushed to the scene but were unable to revive him, according to his sister Shana Muldoon-Zappa.

Patrick launched his career while still at college, appearing on Who’s The Boss and later landing recurring roles in Saved By The Bell.

He became a household name as Austin Reed on Days of Our Lives and Richard Hart on Melrose Place.

His film credits include the cult classic Starship Troopers and recent titles like Deadlock, Vanquish, and Marlowe.

Muldoon was also involved behind the scenes as an executive producer on the upcoming movie Kockroach.

His final film, Dirty Hands, is set for release later this year.

The actor’s sudden passing has shocked fans and colleagues alike, marking the end of a varied and successful career.
