ADAM Peaty’s sister Bethany Peaty has spoken publicly about the reported family tensions surrounding the swimmer’s marriage to Holly Ramsay, describing the Ramsays’ celebrity lifestyle as “a wonderful world” and “very different” from her own.
Bethany, who attended Holly and Adam’s wedding and was the only member of the Peaty family present, said she felt caught in the middle of the ongoing fallout between her brother and their mother, Caroline.
She revealed that she has now reconciled with her mum, saying the decision was made largely for the sake of her children, who she said adore their grandmother, according to Daily Mail.
Speaking about the situation, Bethany called the past few months “a very difficult time” and admitted it was “very sad” that Caroline was unable to attend the wedding.
She also suggested she had tried to help smooth things over, but said the family are strong-minded.
Bethany had joined Holly Ramsay’s hen celebrations and said the Ramsay family made her feel very welcome.
She praised them as “a good family” while noting that their world is far removed from the one she knows.
The comments come amid reports of a wider family feud involving Adam, his mother Caroline, and other relatives. Bethany also addressed her own future wedding plans with fiancé Daniel Rogerson, joking that it “won’t be on the Ramsay scale.”
