PRINCE was gripped by terrifying memory loss and panic in the months before his fatal fentanyl overdose, a former bandmate has revealed.

BrownMark, bassist for the Revolution, says the music legend was forgetful, confused, and struggling to hold onto conversations as opioids ravaged his brain, according to Page Six.

The pair reconnected after years apart when Prince suddenly called BrownMark to Minneapolis, promising a comeback.

But when BrownMark arrived, Prince had already forgotten he invited him, leaving the bassist stranded and bewildered in a hotel.

Finally meeting at Paisley Park, BrownMark was hit by the panic in Prince’s eyes as the star’s memory faltered badly.

“His memory was really, really shot at that point,” BrownMark said, blaming heavy opioid use for wiping Prince’s short-term recall.

Prince’s reliance on opioids for hip pain clouded his mind, but he refused to show any weakness.

“He ain’t gonna let nobody see him sweat,” BrownMark said.

Prince died in an elevator at Paisley Park in April 2016, a day before a planned addiction specialist appointment.

BrownMark now believes the counterfeit fentanyl-laced pills Prince took caused the devastating blackout in his memory and behavior.

The fallout from Prince’s hidden health crisis is only intensifying as insiders piece together the tragic final months.

And now the pressure is only building.
