CAROL Kirkwood has confirmed that her final appearance on BBC Breakfast will be on April 1, bringing an end to a 25-year run with the BBC.

Kirkwood, 63, first announced in January that she would be leaving the show in an emotional segment alongside BBC Breakfast hosts Sally Nugent and Jon Kay.
