VIVIENNE and Knox Jolie-Pitt’s 18th birthday on July 12 marks a quiet end to the long-running saga between their famous parents, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.
The twins’ coming of age means the custody arrangements that have defined the ex-couple’s relationship for ten years will finally expire.
Since Angelina filed for divorce in 2016, the pair have been locked in a bitter custody battle over their six children.
Brad Pitt’s visitation rights were limited while Angelina held primary custody, but now the twins’ adulthood changes everything.
Sources reveal Pitt’s relationship with some of the children remains distant, with several dropping the Pitt surname, including Maddox who recently made it official.
An insider told Page Six, “Angelina has alienated the children from Brad,” especially those closest to him.
However, a source close to Jolie disputes the term “alienated,” insisting she never intended to isolate her kids amid the family drama.
The tension escalated after Angelina’s allegations of abuse aboard a private jet in 2016, which Pitt has always denied, and which were never substantiated by authorities.
That legal battle officially ended in 2024 when Jolie dropped her lawsuit.
Meanwhile, Pitt has been sober for nearly a decade, crediting his recovery to a men’s AA group including Bradley Cooper.
Despite his efforts, some children remain distant, as highlighted by Zahara’s recent graduation where she used Jolie’s surname exclusively.
Angelina attended the ceremony with Pax and Knox, but Pitt, currently filming in Ireland, was not invited.
A source commented, “There was no reason it had to be like this. There’s no benefit to the kids.”
As the twins step into adulthood, the Brangelina story finally reaches its next phase — but the scars of the past decade linger.
