Lisa Kudrow says revisiting Friends since Matthew Perry’s 2023 death has been comforting, revealing that TV marathons helped her honor his memory while rediscovering the show’s humor and chemistry.

LISA Kudrow is opening up about how revisiting Friends has helped her honor the memory of late costar Matthew Perry.

During a March 27 appearance on Capital FM, the actress shared that watching TV marathons of the beloved sitcom after Perry’s 2023 death brought her comfort.

“After Matthew passed away, there were marathons [on TV] and that was really comforting watching the show,” Kudrow said, adding that it still makes her laugh and reminds her of Perry’s unmistakable charm.

Kudrow praised Perry, who played Chandler Bing, as “so funny” and even called him “the funniest,” while reflecting on the chemistry that made Friends such a lasting hit.

She also admitted she didn’t regularly watch the show during its original run, but seeing it years later gave her a new appreciation for the cast and for Phoebe Buffay, the quirky fan favorite she played for all 10 seasons.

Now, Kudrow says the series feels even more meaningful, describing it as a healing kind of escape that brings people together through laughter and friendship.

Perry died in October 2023 at age 54.

Following his death, Kudrow and the rest of the Friends cast — Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc — paid tribute to their friend and former castmate.

In a heartfelt message shared in 2023, Kudrow thanked Perry for years of laughter, love and unforgettable memories.
