Pop Quest is designed to be playable without creating an account. We collect only the minimum data required to operate the game.

Game progress (e.g. attempts used, clues used, score)
Whether the daily quiz has been completed
Aggregate statistics (daily, weekly, monthly, all-time scores)
An anonymous technical identifier (a random ID stored in your browser)

This data does not directly identify you.

If you choose to set a username

A nickname chosen by you (display name only)

Setting a username does not create an account and does not collect an email address.

If you register / log in (if applicable)

If you create an account, we may link your game statistics to that account. This typically includes your email address and
your game statistics linked to your account.

1.2 How we use your data

We use data only to:

Run the daily quiz
Calculate scores and streaks
Display your stats in-game
Enable sharing of results (only when you choose to share)
Understand overall game usage in an anonymous, aggregate way

We do not:

Sell your data
Share your personal data with third parties for marketing
Track you across other websites

1.3 Anonymous play & identification

If you play without registering, you are identified using a random anonymous ID stored in your browser.
This allows your stats to persist on the same device. Clearing cookies/site storage or using private/incognito mode will
reset this ID.

1.4 Sharing results

When you choose to share your results, only the text you explicitly share is used. This may include your score, attempts,
clues used, the quiz date, and a link to the game. No personal data is included unless you add it yourself.

1.5 Data retention

Anonymous game data may be retained for statistical purposes.
Registered user data is retained while the account remains active.
You can request deletion of your data by contacting [email protected].

You can delete cookies/site data via your browser settings. You can also play in private/incognito mode (stats may not

3.1 Using Pop Quest

By using Pop Quest, you agree to:

3.2 Game availability

One quiz is available per day.
A new quiz becomes available at midnight (GMT).
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

3.3 Scores & stats

Scores and stats are provided “as is”.
We may reset or adjust scores in cases of abuse or technical error.
Decisions regarding scoring logic are final.

3.4 Intellectual property

All content, design, and game mechanics are the property of Pop Quest unless stated otherwise. You may not reproduce,
redistribute, or commercially exploit the game without permission.

3.5 Limitation of liability

Pop Quest is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for data loss due to browser settings, device
changes, cookie deletion, private browsing, interruptions, or errors.

3.6 Changes to these terms

We may update these policies occasionally. Continued use of Pop Quest after changes means you accept the updated terms.
