Key Points
- Estate agents say the asking price is about £500k too high, scaring off local buyers unwilling to overpay.
- Listing shrank from two agents to just Knight Frank, suggesting limited marketing momentum.
- Sits in a celebrity enclave near Soho Farmhouse, but wealthy buyer demand remains thin.
DONNA Air is struggling to sell her £3 million Cotswolds mansion — after it’s been languishing on the market for almost a year.
The plush pad, which Donna has previously showed off to The Times, hit the market back in July 2025.
Former telly star Air — who famously dated James Middleton — first listed the property with two estate agents… but it is now up with just one, Knight Frank — and it’s showing no signs of shifting because of the high asking price.
If you want to buy the house – which is just down the road from Chipping Norton town centre — you’ll need to be prepared to make an offer in excess of £3 million. Because, we’re told, she’s not accepting anything less.
“The house is probably £500k overpriced as it is,” a source said. “But Donna has no interest in lowering her expectations. It’s like she doesn’t want to sell it.
“The house is lovely. It’s by the same architects who did Ellen Degeneres’ house up the road.
“But most people around here generally won’t over pay for their houses. Some of the rich Americans do, but they’re not exactly abundant at the moment.
“If she lowers the price, it will obviously sell. It is unusual for a house like hers to have been on the market for so long, and it’s because of the price.”
Should you wish to splash your spare few million on Donna’s gaff, your (immediate) celebrity neighbours would include Simon Cowell and Lauren Sliverman, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, David and Victoria Beckham and the musician Jack Savoretti.
It’s also a stone’s throw from Soho Farmhouse, the pub featured in Mob Land and a lovely little cafe where Shawn Mendes was once spotted dining with pals.
“The house is gorgeous,” added the source, “and it’s in the perfect location. If she just lowered the asking price, she’d sell it. It’s a nightmare listing.”
Why This Matters
This stalled listing highlights how celebrity status can't override local market realities, signaling potential cooling among wealthy buyers in the Cotswolds and reminding owners that overpricing—even with A-list neighbours—can stall high-end sales.
