TAYLOR SWIFT has made history as the youngest woman ever to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame at the 2026 gala in New York City.

At just 36, the pop superstar received the honour during the ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel, marking a major milestone in her already stellar career.

In a heartfelt acceptance speech, Swift thanked her family for uprooting their lives from Pennsylvania to Nashville to support her music journey, saying, “You’re the reason I am here tonight.”

Swift is the first artist to progress from winning the Hall’s Hal David Starlight Award in 2010 to full membership in 2026, celebrating 20 years since her debut single “Tim McGraw.”

Her induction recognised iconic tracks like “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version),” “Blank Space,” “Anti-Hero,” “Love Story,” and “The Last Great American Dynasty.”

The singer has often shared how many of her best songwriting ideas come in the middle of the night when she can’t sleep, admitting she’ll sometimes wander over to her piano to capture the inspiration.

Other notable inductees this year include rock legends Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of KISS, alongside Alanis Morissette and several acclaimed producers.

SHOF Chairman Nile Rodgers praised the event as a celebration of music’s cultural impact and the songwriters who create the unforgettable tunes.

Swift’s induction comes just weeks before she is set to marry NFL star fiancé Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden, a venue she knows well from her multiple performances there.

The singer was recently spotted courtside at the Garden, soaking up the atmosphere as the New York Knicks pulled off a historic NBA Finals comeback.

With her career reaching new heights, Taylor Swift’s Songwriters Hall of Fame induction cements her legacy as one of music’s most influential talents.
