OZZFEST is officially gearing up for a comeback.

Sharon Osbourne revealed that the iconic rock and metal festival founded by Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon will return in 2027, with plans for shows tied to Ozzy’s legacy.

Speaking on son Jack Osbourne’s podcast, Sharon said the revived festival is expected to begin with two days at Aston Villa’s stadium in Birmingham before expanding to the United States. She also shared that conversations with Live Nation are already underway.

Why This Matters

Ozzfest's return signals a major revival for rock and metal culture, honoring Ozzy's legacy while restoring a proven platform that helped launch countless bands—reuniting fans, boosting emerging artists and reinvigorating live music touring post-pandemic.

According to Sharon, the new version of Ozzfest will stay true to what made the original so influential: spotlighting rising rock and metal acts alongside major names. Jack added that the festival’s second stage helped launch many artists over the years.

The original Ozzfest ran from 1996 to 2018 and became a major event for heavy music fans, often featuring performances from Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath. The planned return comes less than a year after Ozzy’s death, following his farewell concert at Villa Park.

Sharon recently also honored Ozzy at the Brit Awards, where he was recognized with the Outstanding Contribution to Music award. For fans, the revival of Ozzfest marks a powerful tribute to one of rock’s most enduring legacies.
