EAMONN Holmes and Ruth Langsford’s £10million divorce dispute is set for a courtroom showdown after peace talks collapsed.

The former This Morning co-hosts, both 66, have already faced two hearings with a full trial scheduled for November.

The couple split two years ago but failed to agree on dividing their combined wealth, prompting Ruth to launch court action for a financial remedy, reports The Sun.

Court papers list Ruth as the applicant and Eamonn as the respondent in the case now known as Ruth Holmes vs Eamonn Holmes.

Their assets include a personal fortune estimated at around £5million and a six-bedroom Surrey home bought for £3.6million, now worth significantly more.

Ruth was granted a severance of joint tenancy on the property last year, meaning her share won’t automatically pass to Eamonn if she dies.

A source said: “A lengthy court battle is the last thing the couple wanted, but they just can’t agree.

It’s very sad but they are both prepared to fight for what they feel is rightfully theirs.” Eamonn, who has faced recent health scares including a stroke, is now dating counsellor Katie Alexander, 44.

He has hired top barrister Deborah Bangay KC, known for securing major settlements, while Ruth is represented by Nicholas Wilkinson.

Both have taken steps to raise funds amid rising legal costs, with Ruth releasing an autobiography and Eamonn hosting stage shows.

The pre-trial review will take place in the coming months, leaving fans to watch closely how this high-profile split unfolds in court.
