ROMESH Ranganathan has blasted into the big leagues, pocketing a staggering £2million last year thanks to a whirlwind of TV deals and a West End debut.
New accounts reveal his company Vetty Limited’s reserves rocketed from £2.5million to £4.5million in just 12 months, according to Daily Mail.
The comedian’s weekly haul hit £40,000, fuelled by shows like Amazon Prime’s Last One Laughing and his role as The Weakest Link host.
Romesh also rakes in cash from BBC Radio 2 and his global stand-up tour, plus his production company Ranga Bee holds nearly half a million in reserves.
Last year, he made a splash on the West End stage opposite Sheridan Smith in Woman in Mind, adding theatre to his earnings bonanza.
Despite his fortune, Romesh shunned flashy celeb pads, building a six-bedroom mansion just five miles from his modest childhood home in West Sussex.
A source said, “Romesh could have moved somewhere flash but he decided to stay where his roots are. It’s where his mum and brother are and it’s a town he loves.”
But with riches comes pressure, as fans and critics watch closely to see if Romesh can keep up his meteoric rise.
