ROBERT Pattinson has hit back at critics who questioned his Batman physique, insisting he worked out twice a day, even at 3am.

The 40-year-old actor, who debuted as the Caped Crusader in 2022, faced comments comparing him to a ‘boyish vampire’ rather than a muscle-packed superhero.

Now, Pattinson admits his own interviews played a part in the misunderstanding.

“I was trying to sound cool!” he told GQ, explaining why some thought he hadn’t trained hard.

ROBERT Pattinson has hit back at critics who questioned his Batman physique, insisting he worked out twice a day, even at 3am.

“[Everyone was like], ‘You didn’t work out at all.’ I worked out every f***ing day,” he said.

He also recalled ignoring the studio’s personal trainer during filming, saying, “If you’re working out all the time, you’re part of the problem.”

Pattinson is gearing up for the sequel to Matt Reeves’ Batman, with production about to start in the UK.

He’s moved to a new LA home with partner Suki Waterhouse and their daughter, which includes a home gym to keep up his fitness regime.

But he insists Batman isn’t the toughest physical challenge he’s faced, pointing to his upcoming film The Odyssey.

“I’ve never seen people look so exhausted [working on a movie],” he said, highlighting the demanding nature of that shoot.

With the sequel on the horizon, fans can expect Pattinson to be in peak form, despite the early morning workouts and critical chatter.
