Key Points

  • Temporarily based elsewhere on Sandringham while Marsh Farm is renovated
  • Move signals downsizing from lavish Royal Lodge to much smaller, modest Marsh Farm
  • Maintaining a markedly private routine, with limited public sightings amid ongoing scrutiny

SLOBBY Prince Andrew is reportedly staying at Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate while renovations continue on Marsh Farm, the home he is expected to move into next.

According to a new report, the temporary stay marks a major lifestyle change from Royal Lodge, the much larger residence he previously occupied.

Sources quoted in the story described his current routine as highly secluded, with limited public sightings and a quieter day-to-day life at the estate.

“Marsh Farm is dramatically smaller than the sort of houses Andrew has lived in for decades and it simply does not offer the same level of luxury or grandeur,” dished a source

“When you compare it to Royal Lodge, which was a sprawling residence with dozens of rooms and the sort of scale expected of a senior royal, the difference is striking.

“Royal Lodge was a huge estate property with space, staff, and prestige attached to it.

“Marsh Farm is much more modest and functional by comparison. Anyone who has seen both properties would immediately notice how stark the contrast is between the life he once led there and the much smaller world he is moving into now.”

Radar Online claims contractors connected to royal properties have been seen working on Marsh Farm ahead of his anticipated move.

Prince Andrew, who has faced ongoing public scrutiny in recent years, is said to be living far more privately than before as attention remains on his future living arrangements.

Why This Matters

Andrew’s low-key move and downsizing to Marsh Farm signal a tangible shift in royal status and lifestyle, reflecting ongoing scrutiny and a diminished public role; it underscores how personal residences can be barometers of reputation and influence for high-profile figures.
