PETE Davidson’s friends have hit back after his ex Elsie Hewitt publicly suggested he’s not helping with their baby daughter Scottie.
A source close to the former couple told Page Six that Pete “has been paying for everything related to Elsie and Scottie,” including rent, living costs, and health insurance.
“They may have split but all he wants is for Elsie to be happy and in a good place,” the insider said.
The source added it was “utterly confusing” why Elsie would claim Pete isn’t supporting her, insisting he’s “fully committed to being a good dad.”
Despite Elsie’s now-deleted Instagram post asking for nanny help and saying she’s “doing it on my own,”
Pete’s pals insist the comedian is “doing everything to be super supportive” and has even changed his schedule to be more present.
Fans have been divided, with some sympathising with Elsie’s struggle and others defending Pete’s involvement.
The pair, who welcomed Scottie in December, recently ended their relationship amid ongoing personal disagreements.
Pete has been busy with work and trying to sell their joint home in Salem, New York, as the new parents focus on co-parenting.
Reps for both stars have not commented further, leaving the family’s next chapter open for now.
