PEABO Bryson, the Grammy-winning singer famous for Disney hits like “Beauty and the Beast” and “A Whole New World,” has died aged 75.

He passed away on Tuesday, just two days after suffering a stroke, surrounded by his family.

His family released a statement saying, “We are tremendously moved by the outpouring of love, prayers and support from fans, friends, and colleagues around the world.”

“While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing how deeply Peabo was loved and how many lives were touched by his voice and his generous spirit,” they added.

Bryson launched his career in 1976 and released 20 solo albums, with five reaching gold status.

He was known for collaborations with top artists including Roberta Flack, Natalie Cole, and Kenny G.

His two Grammy Awards came from his iconic Disney duets: “Beauty and the Beast” with Celine Dion in 1992 and “A Whole New World” from Aladdin with Regina Belle in 1993.

Despite his Disney fame, Bryson was also celebrated in the R&B world for his soulful ballads and collaborations.

He is survived by his wife and two children, leaving behind a rich musical legacy that will endure for generations.
