Why They're In The News
NIALL Horan is opening up about his happy home life with longtime girlfriend Amelia Woolley, and it sounds like the singer is loving every minute of it.
The former One Direction star, who has been with Amelia since 2020, revealed that building a life together in London has meant everything to him.
Speaking about their relationship, Niall praised Amelia as “amazing” and said having someone to talk to, listen to, and share everyday life with has been huge for him.
“Having someone to rant with and listen to and be listened to is huge. I’m glad I found it,” he told GQ Hype.
“And she’s amazing and she’s got her own thing going on. I love the life that we’ve got.”
The couple also share their home with their dog, Tommy, and Niall admitted their favorite kind of weekend is often a quiet one spent relaxing at home.
Even with his busy career and frequent travel, Niall said those simple moments with Amelia and Tommy are the ones he treasures most.
He shared that leaving home for work can be difficult, especially when all he wants to do is stay in and enjoy their peaceful routine together.
Niall also reflected on how meeting Amelia helped him feel ready to settle down for the first time.
According to the singer, finding love, comfort, and a true sense of home has had a major impact on his life — and even inspired the deeper themes on his new album, Dinner Party.
“Since I was a teenager, how my life has played out, I haven’t really had the chance, and I was probably young and maybe not ready,” he said.
“But I felt ready once I met this person, and this was the first time I put down the roots, the house and the dog in bed.
“Finding that route and somewhere to feel comfortable and home played a lot into this.
“That’s the stuff that kept coming up: love, and the loss, and not wanting to lose, and comfort—they all kind of revolve around the same thing…
“Something happens in your early 30s and you’re like, yeah, maybe subconsciously, you’re changing. Some of the songs are now deeper to me now that I think of it, really ’cause I’ve subconsciously been writing deeper lyrics.”
For Niall, it seems this chapter is all about love, stability, and appreciating the little things.
Why This Matters
Niall's revelation matters because his newfound domestic stability with Amelia and Tommy not only humanizes the pop star for fans but also reveals how love and home life are shaping his music, signaling artistic growth and deeper, relatable themes.
