ETHAN Hawke has broken his silence on daughter Maya Hawke’s surprise Valentine’s Day wedding to singer-songwriter Christian Lee Hutson.
The actor, 55, described walking his daughter down the aisle as a feeling he can’t put into words.
“I have no vocabulary for that. I felt like I was 13 experiencing life for the first time,” Ethan told Entertainment Tonight at the Time100 Gala in New York City.
He also praised Maya’s new husband, calling Christian “an amazing young man” and said he feels very lucky.
Maya, 27, and Christian, 35, tied the knot in a low-key ceremony in New York City on February 14, attended by close family and her Stranger Things co-stars.
The couple had kept their engagement under wraps since they were first linked in 2023.
In March, Maya described married life as “absolutely fantastic” and said she feels “very, very lucky.”
She added that marrying her best friend makes the whole thing feel natural and joyful.
Ethan shares Maya and son Levon with ex-wife Uma Thurman, and has two younger daughters with current wife Ryan Shawhughes.
