MATTHEW Perry’s mother Suzanne Morrison has delivered a scathing letter condemning her late son’s former assistant Kenneth Iwamasa ahead of his sentencing.
Kenneth faces criminal charges linked to supplying and administering ketamine to the Friends star, who tragically died in October 2023.
In the heartfelt letter obtained by TMZ, Suzanne recalls how Matthew battled addiction for most of his life and trusted Kenneth to help him stay clean.
“Kenny’s most important job – by far – was to be my son’s companion and guardian in his fight against addiction,” she wrote.
But instead of protecting Matthew, Suzanne accuses Kenneth of enabling his drug use, arranging supplies and injecting him despite lacking qualifications.
She described the heartbreaking moment she found Matthew’s body and the cruel aftermath where Kenneth still kept close, even insisting on speaking at the funeral.
“We trusted a man without a conscience, and my son paid the price,” Suzanne stated bluntly.
The letter closes with a raw admission of ongoing grief: “Nothing takes this pain away, nor will it, I am sure, for as long as I live.”
Kenneth’s sentencing is now awaited, with the court set to decide his fate in the tragic case that has rocked Hollywood.
