LORRAINE Kelly has reassured fans that she is feeling much better after recently missing episodes of her ITV show, while also confirming she will be away from screens for the next seven weeks.
In an emotional Instagram video, the beloved presenter thanked viewers for their support and kind messages. Speaking in a croaky voice, Lorraine said she had been dealing with a tough illness but was recovering well, according to Daily Mail.
She explained that her extended break is not just due to her health, but also because of ongoing changes to ITV’s daytime schedule. Lorraine told fans that her show now runs for 30 weeks of the year, meaning she will be off air for a period before returning.
Thanking viewers for their loyalty, she said she never takes their support for granted and appreciates everyone who has stayed with her through the recent changes.
Lorraine also praised her team, crew, and guests in the caption of her post, saying she is looking forward to being back on air soon.
A number of famous friends and TV colleagues sent their love in the comments, including Amy Dowden, Susanna Reid, Charlotte Hawkins, Kate Robbins, and Dr Amir Khan.
The update comes as ITV viewers adjust to a daytime schedule shake-up, with Lorraine and Loose Women temporarily off air while Good Morning Britain extends its runtime.
