BODY camera footage connected to Justin Timberlake’s 2024 DWI arrest in Sag Harbor, New York, has now been released, bringing renewed attention to the case.
The singer was pulled over in June 2024 after police said he failed to stop at a stop sign and had trouble staying in his lane.
In the footage, officers speak with Timberlake on the roadside and ask him to complete a series of sobriety tests.
He appears uneasy during the interaction and tells officers he is nervous. Police then place him in handcuffs and take him into custody.
The video was released after a legal challenge from Timberlake’s team, who had argued that the footage showed him in a highly vulnerable moment. It was ultimately made public with redactions.
The case was later resolved through a plea deal in September 2024. Timberlake received a $500 fine, a $260 surcharge, and 25 hours of community service.
Following the sentencing, he publicly urged others not to drive after drinking, saying that even one drink is too many before getting behind the wheel and encouraging people to use alternatives like calling a friend or taking a ride service.
The release of the footage has sparked fresh conversation online, but the case itself had already been concluded. Timberlake’s statement after sentencing framed the incident as a mistake and a lesson for others.
