JESSE Metcalfe is looking back on his ‘Desperate Housewives’ days with plenty of affection.
In a interview with Page Six, the actor shared that he still speaks with Eva Longoria from time to time and also has warm feelings for former co-stars Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman.
Metcalfe, who played gardener John Rowland on the hit ABC drama, said he has “nothing but love” for the cast.
“I still talk to Eva [Longoria] from time to time,” he said.
“I absolutely love Marcia Cross. [I] saw her in a Broadway production in New York City a couple of years ago.
He praised Cross as an incredibly talented actor and said he was happy to support her in a Broadway production. He also said he was glad to see Huffman working again, calling her an incredible talent.
“I’ve just always been a huge fan of her, especially as an actor,” he said of Marcia. “I think she’s incredibly talented.”
The actor recently opened up about being let go as a series regular after Season 1, explaining that the show’s creative team felt his storyline had run its course.
Still, Metcalfe said the experience ultimately pushed him to grow his career. At the time, he had already booked ‘John Tucker Must Die,’ which softened the blow and helped him move forward.
Now, Metcalfe is staying busy with upcoming film projects including ‘Boris Is Dead’ and ‘The Possession at Gladstone Manor.’ He has also expanded beyond acting with his skincare brand, Nutrl Skin.
Even with the behind-the-scenes shakeup, Metcalfe’s latest comments make one thing clear: there is still a lot of love between him and his ‘Desperate Housewives’ family.
Why This Matters
Metcalfe's enduring friendships with Desperate Housewives co-stars underscore how landmark TV shows shape careers and personal bonds, showing resilience after setbacks and reminding fans the cast's chemistry and connections still resonate years later.
