GORDON Ramsay has revealed that the most crucial lesson he’s taught his six children isn’t about cooking but about manners.
The celebrity chef, famous for his fiery kitchen persona, told Fox News Digital at the FOX Upfront 2026 red carpet that respect and good manners are non-negotiable in his household.
“The one thing I’ve taught them all, brilliantly, are manners,” Ramsay said.
“The most important thing in life, but they cost zero.”
Ramsay’s kids range from police officer Megan to Royal Marine commando Jack, fashion enthusiast Holly, university student Tilly, and two youngest children Oscar and Jesse.
Despite his global fame and culinary empire, Ramsay insists there’s no room for entitlement in his family.
He also shared that his wife Tana, who comes from a large family herself, helps keep the household grounded with their six children.
While Ramsay is famously strict in the kitchen, he admits the biggest cooking mistake that still annoys him is when chefs season food only at the end.
“When you season food, beginning small, middle small and correct the seasoning at the end. Don’t wait until it’s cooked before you start seasoning,” he said.
The chef also enjoys the chaos of cooking competitions, especially when contestants clash and face unexpected challenges.
FOX has renewed several of Ramsay’s shows, including Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares, ensuring fans will see more of his culinary expertise and no-nonsense style.
For Ramsay, the recipe for success at home is simple: manners first, everything else second.
