FKA Twigs is back in court, filing a new lawsuit against ex-boyfriend Shia LaBeouf in a dispute tied to the settlement of her earlier sexual battery case.

According to reports, Twigs claims confidentiality terms in their previous agreement are unlawful under California’s Stand Together Against Non-Disclosure Act.

In the new filing, Twigs says LaBeouf launched a private arbitration complaint in December, alleging that comments she made in a media interview violated the settlement’s NDA provisions. She argues those terms are unenforceable under California law and is asking a judge to formally declare them invalid, according to TMZ.

Twigs originally sued LaBeouf in 2020, accusing him of physical abuse, emotional torment, and knowingly giving her an STI. That case was later settled out of court.

In the latest lawsuit, Twigs says her goal is not financial compensation, but to challenge what she describes as an effort to silence her and to stand up for other survivors of sexual and domestic violence.

She also says she wants to help ensure survivors are not intimidated into staying quiet.

The dispute reportedly centres on remarks Twigs made in a Hollywood Reporter cover story, where she said she did not feel safe and spoke about supporting survivor-focused organisations including Sistah Space and No More.

LaBeouf has not been quoted in the article responding to the new filing.
