EMMA Willis has landed the coveted role as the new host of Strictly Come Dancing, stepping into the shoes of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
The 50-year-old mum of three has agreed terms with the BBC and is set to be officially announced soon.
BBC bosses see Emma as a “safe pair of hands” and praise her huge popularity with the public, The Sun reports.
A source revealed, “Emma has been offered the Strictly job and is going to accept.
“She absolutely nailed the chemistry tests and the BBC adore her.”
Emma’s experience in live broadcasting, including shows like Big Brother and The Voice UK, makes her a perfect fit for the high-pressure role.
She is expected to be joined by Zoe Ball, who will likely take on Claudia Winkleman’s role as the co-host in the studio with the celebrities and professional dancers.
“The BBC are excited about how their new look Strictly is coming together and think the public will agree,” insiders said.
Emma’s rise from MTV presenter to Radio 2 host and now the face of Strictly marks a major career milestone.
Back in 2021, Emma admitted she would love to take part in Strictly herself, saying, “If I had time, I would do it in a heartbeat.
Like I absolutely love it.” The new presenting duo aims to keep the loyal Strictly audience engaged as the show enters its next chapter.
