ELIZABETH Hurley has revealed why her unexpected romance with country star Billy Ray Cyrus feels completely natural to her.
Speaking at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Hot Pink Party in New York, the 60-year-old actress explained that her Tennessee farm shares a lot in common with her Gloucestershire property back home.
“I hadn’t really had that foresight to have that, but funnily enough, the farm in Tennessee is very similar to my farm in Gloucestershire, so in a way it kind of feels normal,” Hurley said.
The pair have been dating since last April, bridging the Atlantic with their shared love of rural life.
Hurley attended the event alongside her 24-year-old son Damian, who she says only started to resemble her around puberty, thanks to their Irish heritage.
She also reflected on her long-standing work with the BCRF, where she’s been a global ambassador for over three decades, crediting her ageless appearance to the knowledge gained from the beauty and healthcare professionals she’s worked with.
“I think working for a beauty company for so long, you really do learn a lot about looking after your skin and of course, applying makeup,” she said.
The event raised over $9 million for breast cancer research, a cause Hurley remains passionately involved with.
Meanwhile, Billy Ray Cyrus has had a complex personal life, including a recent brief marriage, but his relationship with Hurley seems to be grounded in shared values and a mutual love of farm life.
Their unlikely pairing continues to surprise fans but for Hurley, it’s simply a case of feeling right at home.
