ELTON John is pushing forward with optimism despite ongoing health challenges, according to husband David Furnish.

In a recent interview with Variety, Furnish said the legendary singer is “doing great” and “battling on,” adding that Elton is staying busy and continuing to move forward.

The update comes months after Elton revealed that losing vision in his right eye had been “devastating.”

The music icon has been open about a series of health setbacks in recent years, including surgeries, a fall that led to intensive treatment, and vision problems following a virus in 2024.

Even so, Furnish said Elton has found joy in spending more time at home with their sons, Zachary and Elijah, after stepping away from touring in 2023. He shared that family life has become a major focus for the couple, saying they love parenting and being together.

Elton has also remained hopeful about the future. While acknowledging the emotional toll of his eyesight issues, he has said he is still able to sing and play music, and continues to lean on the support of his family.

Furnish and Elton are also set to co-host the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party alongside Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka on March 15.

The latest update paints a resilient picture of the superstar as he navigates recovery with the support of loved ones and keeps his attention on family, music, and the work that matters most to him.
