DANNY Dyer has revealed he goes full frontal in the upcoming second series of Disney+ hit Rivals, marking the raunchiest season yet.

The actor, who plays Freddie Jones, joked about the chilly conditions during the night shoot but insisted male nudity should match the female cast’s exposure.

“I go full frontal in this series, if they keep it in the edit,” he told the Radio Times. “It’s a night shoot, and it was cold, and I’d better not say any more.”

“Nobody’s under pressure to be naked if they don’t want to, but if a woman’s getting her breasts out, why shouldn’t I get it all out?”

“I’ve got breasts as well, to be fair,” he added with his trademark cheek.

The series also carries the full blessing of the late Dame Jilly Cooper, author of the novels on which Rivals is based.

Executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins confirmed, “She signed off every single script and she was watching rushes up until the week before she died. So we’ve got her sign-off and her voice is all the way through it all.”

Dame Jilly passed away in October 2025 at age 88, just as production on series two was underway.

Co-star Alex Hassell, who plays Rupert Campbell-Black, fondly recalled the late author’s risqué sense of humour and her fondness for the cast, sharing how she openly admired their polo outfits during a photoshoot.

Danny’s candid take on his nude scene and the show’s authentic spirit promise a series that stays true to its daring roots while honouring Dame Jilly’s legacy.
