CAITLYN Jenner has revealed she can no longer travel internationally due to new passport rules introduced under Donald Trump’s administration.
The 76-year-old Olympian told the “Tomi Lahren is Fearless” podcast that she can’t use her passport anymore because it doesn’t match the biological sex marker required by the State Department.
Jenner explained, “This is a safety factor. I can’t travel internationally anymore. I can’t use my passport.”
She added that while she can still travel within the US using Global Entry, which shows her gender as “F,” the new rules have created a “big problem” for her overseas travel.
The Trump administration’s 2025 executive order mandates that US passports must reflect the holder’s biological sex at birth, eliminating the option for an “X” gender marker or one differing from birth sex.
The State Department’s website states passports will only be issued with “M” or “F” markers matching biological sex, and applicants requesting otherwise may face delays or reissuance.
Jenner, who came out as transgender in 2015, said she has written to Trump about the issue but has yet to receive a response.
She said, “I explained all of this to him, how it’s affecting me and a lot of other people.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t there that weekend. The Secret Service guy said he could get it to him, put it on his desk and stuff.
“I haven’t heard from him. He’s kind of busy right now.”
Despite the challenges, Jenner insists she doesn’t blame Trump personally and is now trying to figure out her next steps.
She also highlighted practical concerns, noting that without proper identification matching her gender, even voting becomes complicated.
“I’m trying to figure out now, what is the next step to try to figure this out because even to vote now you have to have proper identification, and I don’t have that,” she said.
Jenner’s situation underscores the wider impact of the policy on transgender Americans navigating identity and legal recognition under US law.
